Sharp scissors, curling iron, heat gun.

Jeans flowers step by step:

Jeans need to be pre-gelled. There are several ways, but I do it as follows ... pour 2 teaspoons of gelatin into a glass, dilute it with a small amount of cold water, stir and leave for a couple of hours to swell! When the gelatin is ready, just add boiling water to the full volume of the glass and stir well! We spread the fabric and process the resulting solution with a brush or a gauze swab .... as it suits you) Gelatinized ... and hung out to dry! The main thing is that the fabric does not stick together during the drying process!

Determine the height of the petals at your discretion, approximately in ascending order - 4 cm, 5.5 cm, 6.5 cm, 7 cm. You will need 15 petals.

Trace the templates onto the fabric and carefully cut out all the petals with a pair of scissors that are sharp enough.

We twist the smallest petals with a curling iron inward.

And we twist all the other petals in different directions.

Approximately like this.

Here they are all ready to assemble.

Add cotton wool to a cotton swab.

And we start assembling a flower from jeans.

We glue all the petals on the same level.

In order to make such an accessory, you will need a 6 cm wide denim strip. The length of this strip can be different, it depends on the desired volume of the flower. You will also need thread, a needle and accessories for decoration.

A piece of fabric must be folded in half lengthwise and twisted in the form of a rose. Fasten the base of the product with a thread with a needle. The core can be embroidered with beads or buttons, or rhinestones can be glued. Everything depends on fantasy.

To make a flower, you will need to cut 6-7 flowers of the same shape, but different sizes. Petals can be either rounded or pointed.

Fold the prepared parts on top of each other, starting with the largest at the base and ending with the smallest at the top. It is best to lay out the elements in a checkerboard pattern, so the flower will look more profitable. You can fasten the product in the center with a thread with a needle, and decorate the core with rhinestones, a beautiful pebble or buttons.

For creativity you will need:

• jeans;
• thread, needle, scissors;
• pattern;

1. First you need to prepare the fabric for work.

In order for the product not to deform when worn, to be denser, serve as long as possible and please the eye, the fabric must be immersed in a starch solution, dried and then ironed well.

This solution is quite simple to prepare: dilute one tablespoon of potato starch in one glass of water.

1. Prepare patterns according to the drawing:

Cut them out and apply to the fabric. You should get 5 large petals, 5 medium petals and 5 small petals, 2 leaves. You should also cut out a denim strip 17 cm long and 5 cm wide.

1. Carefully cut out all fabric parts. Make two cuts at the base of the petals.

1. Bend a strip of fabric in half lengthwise and sweep along the long cut line. From the side of the fold, make cuts, not reaching the seam about 1 cm. The width of the cuts will be about 5-8 mm.

Twist the resulting strip and fix its base with a thread with a needle (sew). This will be the core of the future flower.

There is another version of the core.

It is necessary to take a denim strip 3 cm wide. Tie a knot at the end of this segment. After twisting the fabric and wrap it around the knot. Get a snail. Cut off the excess and fix with a thread and a needle. If desired, embroider the core with beads.

1. Assembly of petals.

First, you should collect the first row of 5 small petals. To do this, the petal must be folded at the cut points with “wings” to the center and stitched with a thread and a needle. Similarly, prepare all the other petals. Then collect the finished parts on a thread, stringing them through the center of the petal.

Take the finished core and tighten the thread with the petals around it.

For the second row, take 5 petals of medium length, also sew them, collect on a thread and pull off the two ends of the thread with a “skirt”. For the third row, collect the 5 remaining large petals in the same way.

DIY denim flowers are fun and easy crafts for girls aged 7+. Such "jewelry" can decorate elastic bands or hair bands. And if you sew on a safety pin, they will serve as a perky brooch. DIY simple denim flower #1

Cut out an even strip of fabric from old jeans. To do this, cut the fabric on one side, pull the threads until the thread pulls out along the entire length of the flap. Then cut off the resulting fringe with scissors. Do the same on the other side, measuring the required width of the strip of denim.
For our simple flower, you can take a strip of 2x15cm.
Pull out strips of thread from one long side - this will be the specific side of the flower.
On the other side of the strip, sew stitches with a “Needle Forward” stitch with a needle.
Pull on the thread to make the fabric gather like an accordion.
Pin the edges of the flower together with one or two stitches.
Make the middle of the flower by sewing a bead, rhinestone or button there.

A variant of this simple denim flower. To make it, take a strip of fabric 2-3 times longer and gradually reduce the end of the strip.

Cut denim into squares the size of your future flower and smaller. Squares should be 5-9. The fabric does not have to be the same color: different colors of jeans look good in this flower.
Fold each square in quarters and cut out flower petals.
Flip some of the individual flowers over so the back side is facing up.
Thread the needle and make a knot. Pierce the first largest flower in the middle. Next, collect the remaining parts of the flower, stringing them on a needle and turning them a little so that the petals look in different directions.
Decorate the central part of the flower with a bead, button or rhinestone.

Do-it-yourself denim flower №3

Take a narrow, even strip of denim and pull out 3-4 edge threads from each wide side of the strip.
Cut 5-7 pieces of the desired length from the strip. Keep in mind that the flower petal is folded in half.
Fold each petal in half and sew along the edge with a seam first needle.
Pull the thread, gathering the petals into a flower.
Decorate the middle of the flower.

Here is such an original brooch - a rosette offers us to make a craftswoman Joan from a denim ribbon.

To make this flower, Joan needed the following materials and tools:

• hem from a denim sundress,
• sewing needle and strong thread
• brooch base,
• scissors,
• pliers (optional)
• small piece of leather (optional)

Step 1. Take a sleeve from a sundress or any other piece of clothing that has a tucked stitched seam on it. Cut the connecting seam from the sleeve and unfold the piece.

Step 2. Cut off the tucked seam from the part and you will get a denim ribbon from which you will make a flower.

Step 3. Roll the tape into a roll as shown in the photo.

Step 4. In order to fix the result, sew the resulting core of the flower from the wrong side.

Step 5. To create the petals, sew the ribbon around the core, slightly stretching it. To get more embossed flowers in some places, pull off the tape as shown in the photo.

Step 6. Form a flower of the required size.

Step 7. Bend the end of the flower and sew it to the bottom of the rose

Step 8. Here is how the denim flower should look from the wrong side.

Step 9. From the same fabric or similar in color, cut out the leaves.

DIY denim flowers

The second master class was prepared by craftswoman Kara, here is what she writes in the preface to her lesson: “Once I went to the Google analytics website, I saw that many people were looking for a master class on creating a flower from denim. I came up with the idea that it would be nice to make a photo tutorial on making an original flower from old worn jeans. Here's what I got.»

To make this flower you will need:

• a pair of old jeans
• flowers of different sizes (templates),
• scissors,
• button,
• threads, needles.

Step 1. Cut out a small flower from paper and draw larger flowers on the basis of it, each time adding 0.3-0.5 cm to the outline of the flower.

Step 2 Attach the paper templates to the jeans and cut out the flowers from the fabric.

Step 3. Lay the flowers starting from the largest one on top of the other as in the photo and mark the core with a button.

Step 4. Sew all parts of the flower together, you will need a thick needle because it is not easy to pierce a layer of denim.

Step 5. In order to further decorate the flower, you can sew a crocheted flower into the center of the product.

Step 6. The core of the flower can be different, my choice is a vintage button.

Step 7. To make the flower look more lively and natural, sprinkle it with just a little water.

Step 8. Crumple the moistened flower as shown in the photo and hold it for several minutes, if it seems to you that this is not enough, additionally pull the petals in different directions. After this procedure, you will get such a pretty "living" flower.
